The joy, the excitement and the expression of love is a natural outgrowth and outworking of the Spirit of God through the life and person of those whom He has called to be His children. The zeal of which we speak is not a short-lived zeal and excitement for the Kingdom of Christ. It is a con-sistent, lasting and determined love, zeal, yearning for and unshakable desire to answer the calling of God that He emblazoned upon our spirits. It is this zeal and this drive that is an offshoot of the Spirit of Jesus Christ living in us. We live off of His joy. We live off of His drive. We live off of His devotion and complete submission to God and His Word. We live in Him and through Him and because of Him. This is why David and Paul wrote the following: The Lord is my Light and my Salva-tion—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
