“Then Jesus said to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31,32
We find in numerous passages in the Old Testament where dancing was done in celebration or a feast unto the Lord. Not dancing to the Lord...just dancing included in the festivities. In observing these examples there is a clear absence of condemnation by the Lord. When we look at Scripture, and then look at our religious traditions that some man made up, we find a disturbing practice in the church of today. Sometimes we put millstones around our own necks that God never placed there. Jesus said that “my people perish for the lack of knowledge.” The question on dancing, like anything else, is “where,” “how,” “when,” and “why.” This publication shares what the Bible does and does not address when it comes to dancing.
