“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein, is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16,17
Children of God should have a hunger, a thirst and a zeal to do the right thing, and to be pleasing to God. As a part of the body of Christ we should interact with each other in the bonds of righteousness. Hungering for righteousness means that we will not do anything or say anything that would cause our brother or sister to lose their joy. It is when you celebrate instead of slander, when you build up and not tear down, when you elevate and not denigrate that God is pleased. What this word tells us is that it all begins when you hunger to do His will, and learn to celebrate what God is doing in you. And it is Jesus who promised that if you hunger for righteousness, you will be filled.
